EASTLAKE, Ohio - Cleveland Heights turned a second-half equalizer into a decisive scoring surge Tuesday, pulling away from Eastlake North for a 4-1 varsity girls soccer victory. The match remained tight until the Tigers found their rhythm after tying the score at 1-1, then added three more goals to complete the road win.

The pivotal stretch began with Auri Langans tying sequence early in the second half erasing Eastlake North’s 1-0 advantage and shifting the momentum toward Cleveland Heights.

Additional goals came from Kat Welfley, Evelyn Cabrera and Juniper Hare. Noami Cox, Cecelia Leach and Evelyn Cabrera all pitched in with asisits helping Cleveland Heights take control in the second half.

Sierra Terman delivered a standout performance throughout the match, with Evelyn Cabrera providing a strong effort alongside her.

Cleveland Heights finished with four unanswered goals to cap off their stong opening night performance. The Tigers will return home to face Lakewood High School at 7 p.m. EDT Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026.
