Ta’Mya Bouie and Chelsea Gipson represented the Tigers well this weekend in Columbus at the State Wrestling Tournament.

The two seniors opened the tournament strong Friday night, each winning their first matches and putting themselves in position to earn a spot on the podium. They capitalized on that opportunity, both finishing the weekend as state placers.

Bouie concluded the tournament with an impressive 6th-place finish, while Gipson secured 8th place in the state.

The State Tournament marks the conclusion of an outstanding season for both senior wrestlers, whose hard work, resilience, and leadership helped set the standard for the Tigers this year.
