CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio - Eddie Romanin broke through late in the first half, and Cleveland Heights protected the lead before adding an insurance goal in a 2-0 victory over Beachwood on Thursday night at Denison Park.

The Tigers controlled possession for most of the match but found clear scoring opportunities difficult to create against Beachwood's defense. Romanin delivered the decisive moment with 8:19 remaining in the first half, scoring from just inside the box to send Cleveland Heights into halftime with a 1-0 advantage.
Cleveland Heights continued to dictate play after the break while working to turn its possession into a more comfortable margin. The Tigers found the second goal with 14:05 left when Adrian Sedra connected on a header off a corner kick, doubling the lead at a key stage of the match.

The two finishes were enough for a Cleveland Heights defense that kept Beachwood off the scoreboard. The Tigers maintained their shape through the closing minutes and completed the clean sheet, combining sustained possession with a disciplined defensive performance.

Cleveland Heights will next travel to face Brunswick at 7 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
