CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio - Cleveland Heights junior Kassadi Thompson placed third and set another school record Saturday at the Walsh Jesuit Pat Richie Invite, continuing her strong start to the cross country season. Thompson crossed the finish line in 18 minutes, 26.1 seconds to lead Cleveland Heights at the meet.

Thompson’s time established a new program standard and marked her third top-10 finish of the season. The result added another front-of-the-field performance to a consistent opening stretch, with Thompson combining a record-setting pace with a top-three place against the invitational field.

Her third-place finish put Thompson among the race leaders on the final results and gave Cleveland Heights a significant individual performance. She continued to show the ability to remain near the front of a competitive pack while sustaining the pace necessary to improve the school record.
